I hope you all had a lovely half term. The children have come back full of energy and ready for action!

We have begun our new Geography topic on the 'Sunshine State' this week, as well as our new science topic studying 'rocks and soils'. Some children have already brought in special rocks or topic books they have at home, so if other children have show and tell related to either topic then please encourage them to bring them in.

This half term the children will be looking at mechanical systems in DT and will be designing their own 'moving poster'. We will be looking at pop-up books next week and the different moving elements that they may choose to use. If anyone has any pop-up books at home that they would be willing to send in as examples this would be great - we will covering this next Friday (11th November).

Over the next couple of weeks we will also begin to practise our class assembly, which will take place on 25th November at 9.15. We hope to see lots of you there.

Finally, just to let you know that homework will now be sent home on a Friday and due in the following Wednesday.

Have a wonderful weekend and bonfire night!
