It has been a very busy but productive half term and the children in 3W have already had many special and fun activities to remember - our Egyptian day and Zulu day in particular. Thank you to all those who came to parent's evening this week. It was lovely to get the opportunity to talk about how well your children are doing and what a delight they all are to teach!

When we come back from half term we will be moving into our new topics. In Geography, we will be looking at South America and comparing life there, to here in Britain. In science, we will be moving into our Rocks and Soils topic, initially looking at how different types of rock and soil are formed. In English, we will be studying a unit on performance poetry. The children will discuss poetic features, the poems' structure and the poet's language choices and then have an opportunity to write their own poems. In maths, we will be using money to add and record using the correct notation and place value.

We wish you all a happy half term and hope the children have a well-earned rest!
